Lou loves exploring mountains, in many different ways. Since the 1990s, this fascination has taken her winter scrambling in Scotland, rock climbing in Spain, running along the South Downs Way, ice climbing in Italy, snowshoeing in Arctic Norway, climbing 4000m peaks in the Alps, and hiking and biking all over Britain and the Alps.
Lou also loves to facilitate other people to realise their own adventures. Starting as a volunteer hiking guide in 2007, she gave up office work in 2014 to go full-time freelance as a guide and outdoor activity instructor. After a dream move to Switzerland, Lou now guides tours as an International Mountain Leader
