Jonathan Cook
Jonathan Cook is a writer and adventurer who began his love affair with the Great Outdoors as a boy walking in the footsteps of Wainwright in the English Lake District. Since then he has hiked and climbed extensively in Europe, Nepal, Mongolia and North America but his passion for the Lake District remains strong. His work and features have been published extensively in both Adventure Travel and Trail Magazines.
Jonathan’s writing career was sparked after spending a year in Alaska during the 1990s and the The Last Frontier still holds a special place in his heart although more recently he can be found in the Sierra de Madrid near to where he currently lives. He was one of the first authors to feature on Cicerone Extra with an account of his Alpine Pass Route trek across Switzerland and is a member of the Royal Geographical Society.
